STRACK NORMA has added another innovation to its product portfolio: the Lüdenscheid-based company is now offering controlled gas spring systems that have been specially adapted to meet today’s requirements. The new controlled gas springs in a round design are characterised by their versatility, reliability and adaptability.
Thanks to their compact, round design, the new SN2884 gas springs can be optimally integrated into the moulds. Unlike many standard models on the market, they do not require any additional cooling. As a result, the effort required for insertion into the mould is significantly lower and the installation space is correspondingly smaller. With a springback of less than 0.1 mm, high part quality is ensured. Each spring is customised according to the customer’s specific requirements. In addition, the springs can be locked in any stroke position, which also offers a high degree of flexibility. Users have the freedom to utilise the stroke of the gas spring either fully or partially, depending on the requirements of their application.
To function reliably even in dusty or dirty environments, STRACK’s controlled gas springs are optionally equipped with a protective cap (SN2884 type 2), designed for hot forming, or a wiper ring (SN2884 type 3), which provide strong protection for a long service life. It is also possible to connect the gas springs to each other, which ensures a constant pressure in all springs and can be filled or adjusted via a control fitting. This promotes adaptability and facilitates integration into complex systems. To make the integration of STRACK’s controlled gas springs into existing systems as simple as possible, a screw connection compatible with competitor models has been incorporated into the base. This reduces the effort required for smooth implementation.
