MOULDING EXPO 2025 IN STUTTGART – VDWF REPRESENTED AGAIN WITH LARGE JOINT STAND

The tool construction, pattern and mold making industry meets once again for Moulding Expo in Stuttgart from May 6 to 9, 2025. VDWF will also be represented there again with a large joint stand, where all visitors can see the industry’s performance for themselves.

The focus of the international trade fair is on tool, pattern and mold making, but its suppliers and service providers for plastics technology and metal processing also exhibit: from material suppliers, hot runner manufacturers, measurement and testing equipment providers, and software suppliers. More than 200 companies are expected to exhibit at Messe Stuttgart.

The large VDWF joint stand will be a major attraction for visitors. Around 40 companies represent the diversity and importance of the industry – and the quality it delivers. VDWF President Prof. Thomas Seul also emphasizes this: “The work of toolmakers from the DACH region is clearly worth its price! Their tools and molds are not cheap, but provide crucial added value instead that cannot be achieved by competitors from low-wage countries: the many SMEs in our industry supply valid means of production for the industry – directly, with short distances, process-safe, compliant with the law and without unexpected risks. The toolmakers are solution-oriented, communicative and transparent in their actions.” All of this can be experienced up-close at the “toolmakers’ hub”.

Industry events at Moulding Expo

On Wednesday evening, the second day of the fair, VDWF will hold its traditional stand party, which the association’s managing director Ralf Dürrwächter cordially invites all industry players to. “The stand party is always an excellent opportunity to meet industry leaders in one place, offering a social setting for corporate and private networking,” says Dürrwächter. ISTMA World President Bob Williamson and ISTMA Europe President Stephan Berz, as well as other representatives of ISTMA are also expected at the stand party. The Medal of Honor for special achievements in tool making will also be awarded during the VDWF stand party. The award winner is chosen by an independent jury consisting of representatives of the VDWF and VDMA associations and the WBA. The laudatory speech will be held by Richard Pergler.

On May 6 and 7, the VDWF stand will also be the start and finish of the popular apprentice tours, which are aimed at potential apprentices and also at teachers who want to see the bigger picture. You can sign up for the free tours at vdwf.de/azubi-rundgang. Anyone interested can also book a free ticket for the trade fair using the registration code “VDWFMEX2025” on the Moulding Expo website. “I’m really pleased to be spending four days in the ‘industry’s living room’ again after a two-year break,” explains Dürrwächter.
